Job Title: Senior Accounts Payable (Interim) Location: Near Thatcham, Berkshire (On-site / Hybrid) Contract Type: Interim (Immediate Start) - Potential to Go Permanent The Opportunity An urgent requirement has arisen for a Senior Accounts Payable professional to join a market-leading, high-performance manufacturing business based near Thatcham. This is a standalone position, requiring an individual who can take full ownership of the AP function and deliver immediate results. The Role This is a hands-on, end-to-end Accounts Payable role managing a low volume, high value ledger. The successful candidate will be expected to quickly take control of the function, help with process improvement, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial governance. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of the Accounts Payable function End-to-end processing of supplier invoices (low volume, high value) Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution Preparation and execution of payment runs Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships Ensuring robust financial controls and compliance Supporting month-end close processes Identifying and implementing process improvements Acting as a key point of contact for AP across the business About You Proven experience in a Senior or standalone Accounts Payable role Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment Highly hands-on, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership Strong attention to detail, particularly with high-value transactions Confident working independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills and stakeholder management Systems-savvy with experience using ERP systems Additional Information Immediate start required Interim role with strong potential to become permanent Suited to candidates who thrive in dynamic, high-performance environments Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
