Prospective applicants should have a good basic understanding of how ageing can impact on people and this means that they would be expected to have a great deal of empathy with their clients.
You must have good communication skills as well as a sense of humour
To continue to encourage and support clients in their own homes by assisting with personal care, prompting medication etc, you would understand that peoples needs vary. Experience in this type of work would be an advantage. A driving license although not essential is also advantageous, this is because we work in a beautiful area but clients can be spread out and the abilty to independently travel is good.
SVQ in Health and Social Care preferable, and an enhanced disclosure will need to obtained, and registration with the SSSC.
Full and part time hours available Successful applicants would undergo an induction, this would be paid.
