The team you will join
Our Family Law team sits within the wider Private Client Division and brings together an exceptional group of Partners, Solicitors, Mediators, Arbitrators, and trained One Couple One Lawyer practitioners, offering a breadth of expertise. You will work primarily with the newly formed Bristol team but also assist the wider Family team across the 7 offices. You will work with the other Family Team assistants to provide support to all fee earners.

Technical responsibilities
* Produce and amend documents including PDF court bundles with speed and accuracy.
* Format, paginate, number and present documents in Birketts LLP house style.
* Proofread all work, checking for spelling and grammar.
* Use key software packages and take responsibility for any training needs.
* Proactively work with fee earners to ensure relevant documentation is produced to meet clients’ expectations and deadlines.
Administrative responsibilities
* Manage diaries of fee earners in Microsoft Outlook.
* Scan and save incoming and outgoing post.
* Add and amend data on Intapp, including contact details, intermediaries and referrals.
* Open new clients and open and close matters, carrying out conflict checks where appropriate.
* Complete client engagement process, including preparing letters of engagement and sending Thirdfort invitations.
* Arrange meetings and conferences.
* Arrange payments.
* Ensure that all electronic filing and paper based filing is up to date and maintained at regular intervals.
* Keep team spreadsheets up to date.
* Carry out photocopying and scanning as required.
* Coordinate mediation enquiries and matters.
What we are looking for
* Strong administration experience.
* Positive, enthusiastic and professional approach to all work.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, managing tasks and priorities efficiently.
* Strong attention to detail to produce work documentation consistently of a high standard.
* Self‑motivated, ability to use initiative and provide proactive support to fee‑earners.
* Desire to share new processes to support the wider team.
* Competence in using Microsoft Word, Excel, time recording software, case management, Outlook and digital dictation.
