Hospital Social Worker – Neurosciences

An opportunity has arisen for a social worker to permanently join the specialist team based at Salford Royal Hospital, providing specialist social work support to patients who have suffered a stroke and have other long‑term neurological conditions. We invite experienced qualified social work practitioners (at least level 2 to level 3 post‑qualified) to apply for this permanent full‑time post.
You will work as part of an experienced and supportive Neurosciences Multi‑Disciplinary Team, across various wards and clinics, gaining valuable social work experience by working with this client group whose needs can be complex and challenging but very rewarding. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing social work assessments for the safe discharge of Salford residents.
* Setting up services as required.
* Attending MDT and professional meetings.
* Completing safeguarding investigations as required.
Ideally you will have some experience of working with this client group and of working in a hospital setting or similar. You will be sponsored for a permanent role with NJC pay scales, rather than NHS pay scales.
