As part of this growth, we areseeking a talented HPC Compute Engineer to jointheir high-performing team and support the design, implementation, andoptimisation of cutting-edge high-performance computing environments.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionateand technically proficient engineer to work at the forefront of moderncompute technologies—powering scientific research, enterpriseanalytics, and high-end simulation platforms.
Role Overview
As an HPC ComputeEngineer, you will be instrumental in:
* Designing, deploying, and maintaining HPC clusters andsupporting infrastructure.
* Ensuring optimal performance andreliability of compute resources across customer environments.
* Supporting high-throughput compute workloads acrossLinux-based systems.
* Collaborating with research teams,developers, and systems architects to drive innovation.
* Troubleshooting complex systems issues across hardware, OS,and networking layers.
* Automating tasks and improving systemsthrough scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Key Requirements
We’re lookingfor individuals with the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in managing HPC environments (on-prem,cloud, or hybrid).
* Deep understanding of Linux-based systems(CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.).
* Experience with workloadmanagers/schedulers (e.g. Slurm, PBS, LSF).
* Familiarity withparallel file systems (e.g. Lustre, GPFS) and storage management.
* Scripting skills in Bash, Python or similar for automationand orchestration.
* Knowledge of performance tuning,monitoring tools and job profiling.
* Strong problem-solvingskills and the ability to work in fast-paced technical environments.
Desirable:
* Exposure to cloud-based HPC solutions (AWS, Azure, orGCP).
* Experience with containerisation (Docker, Singularity)in HPC environments.
* Certifications or training in Linuxsystems, HPC architectures or cloud platforms.
