We invite applications for the Theatre Manager position, to join us as the school opens. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the Founding Director of Performing Arts to develop world-class Performing Arts provision. Responsibilities include managing the theatre, overseeing productions, Front of House, and facilities, tailored to the candidate's qualifications and experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage daily operations and scheduling of the drama and performing arts spaces.
* Support the delivery of a vibrant theatre program, including student clubs and activities.
* Recruit, train, and oversee a student production crew.
* Plan and execute productions, manage schedules and budgets.
* Ensure health, safety, and maintenance standards are met, including risk assessments.
* Contribute technical expertise during performances.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to meet technical needs and foster community partnerships.
* Maintain an organized theatre environment and assist with staff recruitment as the department grows.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* Strong technical theatre skills, including rigging, lighting, microphones, Q Lab, and set building.
* Experience as a theatre technician or production manager, preferably in a school setting.
* Strategic planning experience.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* High digital literacy.
* Resilience, drive, character, humor, and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
