Job Purpose
The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, handling, and preparing products for dispatch within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This includes picking orders, wrapping products securely, and ensuring all items are ready for shipment in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Pick products accurately according to order lists or picking instructions
* Wrap and prepare goods securely for dispatch to prevent damage during transit
* Ensure all orders are completed within required timeframes
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Conduct basic quality checks on products before dispatch
* Assist with stock control and report any discrepancies
* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
* Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
* Support general warehouse duties as required
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience (preferred but not essential)
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Physically fit and able to lift and move goods
* Basic understanding of health and safety in a warehouse setting
* Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
* Warehouse environment with manual handling involved
* Standing and moving for extended periods
* Use of equipment such as pallet trucks or wrapping machines (training provided if required)
