Legal Advisor, Litigation & Employment

We’re now looking for a Legal Advisor – Litigation & Employment to join our Group Legal function. As a key member of our Litigation and Employment teams, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice that helps us deliver for our customers and protect our reputation.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work on high‑profile matters while developing your expertise in a collaborative, supportive environment.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide clear, robust and commercially focused legal support across litigation and employment law matters, ensuring our legal advice aligns with business priorities and Group Legal objectives.
Litigation:
* Assisting in the management of the small claims portfolio
* Supporting Senior Lawyers with document review and disclosure in large regulatory submissions, investigations and large litigation matters
* Providing legal advice on general contract disputes, IP and IT disputes, ASA complaints, commercial torts, property disputes, data protection claims, complex customer complaints that raise reputation issues, and regulatory issues/investigations.
Employment:
* Advising HR and business colleagues on HR Advice matters (grievance, discipline, performance and attendance, pay and benefits queries)
* Liaising with external lawyers and internal stakeholders on Employment Tribunals
* Drafting and reviewing settlement agreements, policy and template reviews
* Providing TUPE advice on commercial terms and TUPE consultations
* Supporting Senior Lawyers on Industrial Relations and transformation projects.
What we’re looking for
This role would suit someone with a genuine interest in both Litigation and Employment Law, and a desire to work in-house with exposure to a wide variety of legal matters.
Requirements:
* Legally Qualified Solicitor with 0-3 years’ post‑qualification experience (though this is just a guide)
* Experience in litigation, employment law, or a combination of both.
* A commercial mindset and the ability to explain legal issues clearly and practically.
* Strong organisational skills and a delivery‑focused approach.
* Confidence using technology and digital tools to work efficiently.
* A collaborative style and a genuine commitment to supporting colleagues across the business.
