Territory Business Manager B2B - Northeast
Salary: £39,750 DOE + OTE Bonus • Company Car
Location: Northeast England (Newcastle Upon Tyne, Hull, York, Darlington, Teeside)
Are you looking for a role that offers variety, growth, and the chance to make a real impact every day? Join us as a B2B Territory Business Manager, where no two days are the same, and you’ll have the support to develop your skills and thrive! This is a great opportunity to develop customer-focused skills and technical knowledge to help you advance your career path.
Why Michelin? Because at Michelin, people are paramount. If you are looking for a company that challenges and promotes you while focusing on progress and sustainability, you’ve come to the right place. If you want to design your own path and work flexibly, this is the company for you. The mobility industry is changing, and we are looking for people who want to make a difference with us, approaching topics such as innovation and sustainability with conviction and passion.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking a motivated individual who can embrace new challenges and grow in their career. You should excel at connecting with people, building meaningful relationships, and applying a thoughtful, practical approach to problem-solving. With a technical mindset and confidence working with data, you’re ready to dive into opportunities and, after extensive training, continue to learn and develop.
While a background in sales is helpful, the ability to adopt foundational levers and engage in the essential hands-on aspects of the role matters most. We will provide the tools, knowledge, and support you need to succeed. Sales can be challenging, so we’re seeking someone with resilience, strong listening skills, and the ability to understand customer needs and build trust. As a Territory Business Manager, you’ll demonstrate the value we offer, helping to win, grow, and maintain business.
What’s the work environment like?
You’ll work independently much of the time, with regular check-ins with your team and manager. Your manager will join you for a customer visit about once a month. In the first months, you’ll receive more frequent support as you settle in and learn the role.
At Michelin, we pride ourselves on being experts. This role is hands-on, including inspecting vehicles, often in challenging weather. We provide comprehensive training on our products and ongoing support. A willingness to learn and a logical mindset will help you shine.
What kind of person will thrive?
We’re looking for someone self-motivated, good at time management, and with account management skills that deliver against objectives. The role offers flexibility and empowerment, with responsibility to deliver results for yourself, the team, and the company.
What will you be doing?
* Your week typically starts with a team meeting on Monday to set you up for success.
* Most time is spent with customers, learning about their fleets and operations, and identifying how we can address their challenges.
* Approximately 80% of time with end users, 18% with key dealers, and 2% with OE dealers.
* Hands-on with vehicles, come rain or shine.
* Ensure calls are recorded in Sales Force.
* Depending on workload, there may be some overnight stays and occasional weekend work to capture key fleet information (not compulsory).
We provide thorough training on both technical details and sales skills, and we’ll ensure you have the support and tools you need to succeed.
