Job Responsibilities:
* Carry out major repairs to lifts within the allocated area.
* Plan jobs to ensure parts availability and deliver repairs safely, on time, and within budget.
* Supervise and develop a Repairs Mate.
* Complete accurate paperwork supporting work procedures.
* Stand in as part of the local service team on-call rota in exceptional circumstances.
Planning, Organising & Communication:
* Plan repairs to maximize site time and minimize travel.
* Coordinate with the office for parts, paperwork, and customer communication.
* Provide feedback on progress and adhere to pre-schedule programs where applicable.
Repairs Operations:
* Perform risk assessments and post warning notices as needed.
* Carry out repairs safely and in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure jobs are completed within budget.
Administration, HR Supervision & Training:
* Submit weekly job sheets, reports, and timesheets accurately.
* Supervise and train a Repairs Mate to develop their skills and career.
Health, Safety, Environment & Hygiene:
* Follow all safety and environmental regulations and company procedures.
* Maintain the company van and tools in good condition.
Service Support:
* Support the local Service Team as needed.
* Participate in the Callout rota, communicate with the call center, and troubleshoot faults on-site.
Qualifications:
* Senior Repairs Engineer: NVQ 3, LEIA Units 1, 15, 9, plus 2 additional units from 12, 17, 16.
* Repairs Engineer: NVQ 3, LEIA Units 1, 15.
* Valid UK Driving Licence.
* Certified under CSCS or able to achieve certification.
