Responsibilities
* Conduct informal and formal needs assessments to recommend appropriate packaging products tailored to each customer.
* Gather and document customer information, purchases, and reactions to products for accurate insights.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
* Develop a rapport with customers, demonstrating a friendly and helpful manner to ensure they feel at ease.
* Answer customers' questions about products and keep them informed about new offerings.
* Actively listen to customer needs to drive repeat sales and upsell opportunities.
* Foster positive working relationships with sales and customer service team members.
* Take incoming sales calls and make daily outbound calls to existing and new customers.
* Conduct mailshots and send mailers to existing or new customers to promote products and services.
* Manage accounts handed over by senior management and support rejuvenation of business opportunities.
Order Processing & Follow-Up
* Process orders efficiently via phone and email.
* Follow up and chase sample requests to ensure timely delivery.
Professional Development & Compliance
* Participate in training and professional development programs to apply new skills effectively.
* Maintain a neat and professional appearance to represent the company’s brand positively.
Operational Excellence
* Meet set weekly targets and ensure consistent performance in sales activities.
* Operate the Live Chat System to assist and engage customers.
* Be comfortable working independently and making minor decisions without direct supervision.
Essential Qualifications
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
* Knowledge of food packaging would be a benefit but not essential
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills
* Work as part of a team
* Willingness to travel as needed at exhibitions/trade shows and customer site visits across the UK (Valid UK Driving License required)
