Vision Personnel is looking for a Buyer to join one of our PLC housebuilding clients on a temporary basis, to possibly fulltime employment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in housebuilding procurement
* Proficiency with COINS software
* Strong knowledge of housebuilding materials, suppliers, and NHBC/build regulations
* Excellent negotiation and commercial skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Key Duties:
* Procurement & Purchasing: Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, plant, and subcontract services
* Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain supplier relationships; monitor performance
* Cost Control & Budget Management: Track spend, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Programme & Logistics Support: Schedule deliveries to align with site programmes
* Contract & Compliance: Issue purchase orders, ensure compliance with company policies and legislation
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, technical, and site teams
* Market Awareness & Reporting: Monitor trends, identify risks, and provide management reports
