Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

* Part-time hours: 21–25 per week, with flexibility between 8:30am–5:00pm (Mon–Thurs) and 8:30am–3:00pm (Fri).

Responsibilities
* Sales & Purchase Ledger: Process invoices and transactions across sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely entry.
* Cashbook & Reconciliations: Maintain the cashbook and carry out daily bank reconciliations across GBP, USD, and EUR accounts.
* Payments: Support monthly and ad-hoc payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
* Intercompany & Expenses: Assist with intercompany recharges, employee expense claims, and company credit card processing.
* Month-End Support: Help the Finance Manager with reconciliations, reporting, and ad-hoc projects.
* General Finance Support: Provide day-to-day administrative and finance support, contributing to the smooth running of the department.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in an accounts position (sales ledger, purchase ledger, reconciliations, or similar).
* Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems would be advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
* Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Confident communicator, comfortable working with colleagues across the business and with external suppliers/customers.
* Proactive and flexible, with a willingness to learn and support in different areas of finance.
