Learning Support Worker – CF3 Area (2 Form Entry Primary School)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Learning Support Worker to join a welcoming 2 form entry primary school in the CF3 area of Cardiff from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, and wellbeing, and who can bring a positive, energetic and sporty approach to the role.

The Role

• Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, both in class and through targeted interventions
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Encouraging participation, confidence, and independence
• Supporting behaviour management strategies and promoting a positive learning environment
• Leading or assisting in sports, outdoor activities, and active learning sessions

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience working in schools or educational settings
• Confident supporting children with ALN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
• Sporty, energetic, and enthusiastic – able to engage pupils through physical activity and teamwork
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
