Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Industrial Director to lead and optimise our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will oversee production processes, ensure safety standards are maintained, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This pivotal role requires strong leadership skills, extensive industry knowledge, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The Industrial Director will play a key role in aligning operational goals with organisational objectives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across all industrial activities.
Duties
* Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
* Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Lead, motivate, and manage departmental managers and teams to achieve operational targets.
* Analyse production metrics and utilise data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement.
* Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to streamline supply chain operations.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
* Manage budgets, resources, and capital expenditure to support operational growth initiatives.
* Foster innovation by encouraging the adoption of new technologies and best practices in manufacturing.
* Liaise with senior management to report on operational performance and strategic objectives.
Experience
* Proven experience in a senior manufacturing or industrial leadership role, preferably as an Industrial Director or Operations Director.
* Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, health & safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams across multiple departments effectively.
* Demonstrable success in implementing strategic initiatives that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
* Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and performance metrics.
* Strong communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
