Demolition Group Services Limited offers a comprehensive range of specialist demolition services across the residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and leisure sectors, serving both private and public clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper seeking part-time employment within a well-established company in the demolition industry.
The role reports directly to the Business Manager and carries sole responsibility for the accurate recording of all day-to-day financial transactions. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and have strong, hands-on experience with Sage. There is a possibility that the company may transition its accounting system to QuickBooks or Xero in the near future.
Main duties include:
* All aspects of purchase ledger – data entry, purchasing online, checking statements, maintaining balances
* All aspects of sales ledger – entry of sales receipts, credit control, production of statements, creating quotes, maintaining balances
* Payroll
* VAT returns
* Reconciliation of bank, petty cash, business card accounts
* Processing petty cash and employee expense receipts
* Cashflow forecasting
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' book keeping experience
* Minimum 2 year's experience of using Sage
* Recognised book keeping qualification/or part qualified (desirable)
* Sound understanding of Profit & Loss and Balance sheet accounts
* Excellent computer skills including strong Excel skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Great attention to detail
* Highly organised and able to work to deadlines
* Able to work independently and in a team
* Processing payroll
* Handling accounts payable and receivable
* Generating financial and operational reports
Immediate Start.
Minimum 8 hrs per week (may increase based on workload).
