This role supports the Operations & Assurance Manager for the Transport for London contract, ensuring compliance, asset management, and delivery of engineering services.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the Transport for London contract maintains full compliance across the portfolio, in line with contractual, statutory and client‑specific requirements.
* Cross‑reference client asset registers against physical assets to confirm accuracy, completeness and contractual alignment.
* Ensure all service providers submit compliant and complete Statements of Safe Work (SSOW), RAMS and supporting documentation across the portfolio.
* Provide structured and reliable support to the Operations & Assurance Manager to ensure governance on Mitie's activities.
* Support the development, implementation and maintenance of monitoring processes to improve compliance and evidencing standards.
* Support revenue generation opportunities through efficient coordination of additional and project works.
* Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of CAFM systems (including Maximo and Concept Evolution), contract documentation, service matrix and maintenance standards (including SFG20).
* Maintain effective, professional communication with clients, internal stakeholders and supply chain partners.
* Assist the Operations & Assurance Manager in collecting, validating and maintaining asset information across the TfL account.
* Support small works and minor project activities: request, review and coordinate quotations; raise purchase orders and issue formal instructions to suppliers; manage documentation, task sheets and works completion evidence.
* Coordinate works delivery activity, including booking access, scheduling works, liaising with suppliers and ensuring works are completed, closed out and fully evidenced.
* Review RAMS, SSOW and associated health & safety documentation to ensure compliance with engineering and contract requirements.
* Support health & safety audits on engineering delivery, including close‑out of actions and tracking of corrective measures.
* Analyse compliance, performance and delivery data relating to engineering services and suppliers, identifying trends, risks and areas for improvement.
* Attend and support supplier performance reviews, providing data, evidence and follow‑up actions as required.
* Maintain and update asset data, works status and documentation within CAFM systems and client platforms.
* Complete periodic asset reviews within the Asset Management System (AMS), cross‑referencing against the contract, service matrix and applied SFG20 tasks to confirm contractual compliance.
* Support annual updates to supplier scopes and purchase orders in line with contract and budget requirements.
* Support RAMS annual reviews and assist with health & safety incident reporting where required.
* Create, maintain and manage trackers relating to project works, additional works, compliance actions and other assigned functions.
* Produce ad‑hoc reports and compliance information as required by Operations & Assurance Manager.
* Provide flexible support to the Operations & Assurance Manager with any other duties reasonably assigned.
Qualifications & Desirable Skills
* Previous experience within Building Services or Facilities Management, supporting hard services delivery within a large or complex portfolio.
* Experience supporting engineering‑focused compliance, asset management or assurance activities.
* Experience using CAFM systems such as Maximo, Concept Evolution and procurement systems such as Coupa (desirable).
* Working knowledge of SFG20 maintenance standards.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience using SharePoint or similar document management platforms.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities and datasets accurately.
* Demonstrable experience supporting engineering delivery and compliance in a hard services environment.
* Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with engineers, suppliers, clients and senior stakeholders.
* Strong analytical capability, with proven experience using data to support performance monitoring and compliance assurance.
* Highly organised, solution‑focused and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Strong demonstrable skills in Excel and CAFM systems.
