Job Details
* Position: Accounts Assistant - Maternity cover (9 months) - Full Time
* Location: Ballymoney area - office based
* Hours: 34 hours per week (flexibility on working hours)
* Salary: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
* Start date: Immediate available
Responsibilities
* Process sales ledger, complete bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, and assist the accountant with month-end tasks.
* Raise sales invoices and credit notes on Sage, update master spreadsheets.
* Allocate customer receipts and handle account queries.
* Produce Aged Debt reports.
* Post supplier payments and employee expenses.
* Perform bank reconciliations.
* Handle VAT and CIS returns.
* Update monthly cost and revenue information for managers.
* Analyze employee timesheets.
Qualifications & Skills
* 5+ GCSEs, including Maths and English.
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar accounts role.
* Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Good communication skills and team player.
