Due to an internal promotion, we are offering a rare opportunity for an Advanced Social Worker to join us in our specialist Adult’s Emergency Duty Service:
About us
Our Adult’s Emergency Duty Service (EDS) provides key responses to urgent out-of-hours contacts in respect of adults with care and support needs and adult safeguarding concerns across Devon. We are a small team made up of 3 social care assessors, 3 advanced social workers and 1 team manager.
Shifts include working 16:00 – 02:30 hrs evening shifts and weekend day shifts on a 6-week rolling rota basis and providing on-call provision overnight.
We offer a 20% unsocial hours allowance in addition to your salary.
About you
1. You will be a qualified and currently registered experienced Adults Social Worker.
2. You will have strong experience within working in a statutory social care setting.
3. You will be forward-thinking with a solution focused approach to social care practice.
4. You will have robust thresholds and clear decision-making skills.
5. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication in creating and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external partners.
6. You can work independently, autonomously and effectively support other members of the team
7. You have a full UK Driving Licence and can conduct community visits as and when required by the service across Devon
