Overview
36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, fixed term until 13 April 2026. Interviews will be held on Monday 27th October (pm) and Tuesday 28th October (pm).

Harrysmuir Learning Community consists of Harrysmuir Primary School and Inveralmond Early Years Centre. Harrysmuir Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Ladywell with a roll of 390 primary pupils. The school currently sits within decile 2 on the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) and the Free Meal Entitlement (FME) is 29%. The School has 15 classes and has introduced targeted intervention plans and resources, including a Nurture Teacher and additional Pupil Support Workers. The Breakfast Club is well attended. Inveralmond Early Years Centre has a capacity of 60 places and operates across 50 weeks per year with flexible staffing.
Responsibilities
This post is to join the nursery team at Inveralmond Early Years Centre as part of the Harrysmuir Learning Community. The exact duties are aligned with the needs of the nursery and school, including contributing to a nurturing learning environment and supporting pupil development as part of a broader educational team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and within six months of commencing the post to become registered; if already registered, add West Lothian Council to your account.
* PVG Scheme: This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer.
* From start date, candidates must register with SSSC within the specified timeframe.
