Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee signalling testing activities during Points Grinding works in line with Network Rail standards
* Carry out SMTH testing after points grinding activities
* Work collaboratively alongside Welders and track delivery teams to ensure safe and compliant integration of signalling assets
* Perform fault‑finding, diagnostics, and problem resolution on signalling equipment
* Ensure full compliance with safety requirements and investigate system failures
* Mentor and support members of the signalling team
* Accurately report and escalation issues arising during installations and renewals
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as an SMTH Tester on signalling renewals
* SMTH (a), (b), (c)/Basic Electrical Safety (BS1 & BS2)
* HW and Clamp Box competence – essential
* Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel and work away
* Availability for mid‑week and weekend working, including nights where required
