Location: Filton (initially full-time onsite, then hybrid - 60% onsite)
Hours: 35 hours/week over 4.5 days (flexible between 7am-7pm)
Pay: £28.41/hr (PAYE) | £38.00/hr (Umbrella)
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

As a Process Performance Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing organisation, working alongside technical experts and project managers to optimise production processes for iconic projects like the A400M, A350 Wing, Additive Manufacturing, and R&T initiatives such as Wing of Tomorrow. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver world-class aircraft efficiently and safely.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing and implementing the best industrial sequence of work on the shop floor to optimise production time per aircraft.
Creating and maintaining industrial process diagrams (PERT charts) and standard line balancing (SLB) within multi-functional teams.
Analysing production data to identify opportunities for process improvement, time reduction, and efficiency gains.
Leading action plans to reduce inefficiencies and maximise capacity utilisation across production stations.
Sharing best practices and collaborating with colleagues across different teams and locations.
Supporting continuous improvement by proposing and implementing solutions based on data analysis and shop floor observations.
Publishing and maintaining production pace control documentation to enable effective workflow management.
Ensuring compliance with safety, export control, and cyber security standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role (aerospace experience highly desirable).
Excellent understanding of aircraft product design, assembly, and procedural processes-especially wings.
Confident using SAP and Google Suite.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with operations teams.
Experience in workflow management and industrial assessments of timings (tact time, line balancing).
Desirable:
Experience with Catia, 3DX, or similar design software.
Knowledge of export control, cyber security, and health & safety in manufacturing.
Familiarity with ICY, key characteristics, and metrology.
