Overview
We are currently looking for a Duty Manager to join an established and successful team at Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home, one of only 14 in England & Wales. The role will be essential to support children and staff, maintain high standards of care, and lead the Operational Management Team (OMT).
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a group of Team Leaders and Secure Residential Support Workers in the delivery of high‑quality childcare and safeguarding.
Manage and deploy day‑to‑day resources within the home to ensure children’s needs are met in line with their care plans and the statement of purpose and function.
Support and encourage both children and staff to be their best selves, keeping up to date with emerging challenges and using best practice to meet demand and promote continuous improvement and professional development.
Participate in the duty manager rota (24/7, 365).
Qualifications
* Experience of working with vulnerable children.
* Team management and leadership experience.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
