Role: Support Worker Salary: £12.40 per hour (plus excellent benefits) Location: Ilminster Hours: 25 hours per week Please note to apply for this role you must hold a Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle. Our support workers are the heart of everything we do. We want you to empower the people we support to live their lives how they want to, whether that’s travelling the world or spending time in their local park! All we ask is that you have the commitment and drive to encourage and guide the people we support to make this happen. Who will you be supporting At our services in Ilminster we have 9 houses situated within a communal courtyard and 2 outreach services supporting a variety of people who all enjoy living life to the fullest. The site if a happy and fun environment with lots of activities happening throughout the day, evening and on the weekends. The people we support here all have different interests such as; Beach BBQs, cinema trips, meeting with friends, military festivals, photography, cooking and so much more! What is great about working here is the people we support love been involved within the local community whether that is attending festivals, cooking and sharing meals with neighbors, attending clubs, community summer events or even going to the town carnival they’re all super interested in trying news things and been a part of their community. As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given Please note that this role will involve elements of evening, weekend and bank holiday work as well as sleep in shifts so flexibility is essential. The needs of this service do require the successful applicant to hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle. The successful applicant will also be subject to an enhanced DBS check the cost of which to be met by United Response.
