Who You Are As a Support Worker, you are someone with experience working with adolescents who present challenging behavior. You possess a strong background in collaborating with carers and being part of a wider team. You are adaptable and willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends. A driving license and full use of a car are essential for this role. An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS is also required. What the Job Involves You will be part of Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council's innovative Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC) / Edge of Care Service for 11-17 year olds. The service aims to improve family relationships through a strength-based, co-productive approach, allowing young people to remain at home. You will work within an experienced team to provide flexible care packages, including respite, intervention, outreach, and family support. You will deliver evidence-based interventions to help families develop problem-solving skills and resilience, achieve positive change, and stop crises from escalating, ultimately preventing family breakdowns.
