Overview
Bath College seeks a Foundation Lecturer to deliver learning and support to a cohort of EHCP learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a permanent, full-time role at Dual Campus with two positions available: 1 x 37 hours per week and 1 x 26 hours per week (to be confirmed), 52 weeks per year. Working pattern: 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 16:30 Friday. Application deadline: 5 September 2025. Department: FDN - Foundation. Salary: £28,903 - £38,110 per year.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver learning programmes, including life skills, employability skills and functional maths and English at Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 and Level 1, to a cohort of learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities and/or social, emotional and mental health issues.
* Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and related activities to impact on the effectiveness of learning.
* Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning.
* Communicate internal and external examination entry and timetable to the curriculum and support team and learners as appropriate.
* Undertake classroom, workshop and/or educational trip risk assessments as required.
* Work closely with the wider team including the SEND Coordinator and support staff to support progression into wider college.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLs or equivalent teaching qualification
* 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C (or grade 4 and above) including maths and English (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of a sensory-based learning environment with the Foundation Learning Provision
* Demonstrate professional knowledge of curriculum development and innovative delivery
* Demonstrate e-literacy and competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
