English Teacher (SEMH) – ChorleyFull-Time | M1–M6 Pay Scale | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
A specialist SEMH provision in Chorley is looking to appoint an engaging and adaptable English Teacher to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in a small, supportive setting where you can prioritise individual progress, build strong relationships, and deliver meaningful learning experiences.
The Role:
* Deliver English across KS3 and KS4 to very small classes (typically 3 pupils)
* Reduced teaching timetable, with dedicated PPA and planning time built into the school day
* Support pupils across additional subject areas and contribute to the wider school environment
* Work closely with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Foster a structured, calm and engaging learning space

The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level
* Confident supporting pupils with SEMH needs or similar challenges
* Flexible and willing to contribute beyond your subject specialism
* Resilient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships quickly
* Outgoing and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
