Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide holistic care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of high-quality care.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the team to meet patient needs using evidence-based care principles and liaise with the Nursing & AHP Clinical lead to ensure required audits are completed.
Main Duties
* Provide autonomous urgent care to patients at the Health Centre.
* Work 10 hours at Cramlington Medical Group and 24 hours at NPC Northumbria Way.
* Provide a holistic approach to individuals, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of high-quality care.
* Support department management, including HR responsibilities and contributing to the business planning process.
* Supervise and educate junior staff.
* Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the trust.
About Us
Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC) is a pioneering partnership with local GPs, managing several GP practices with around 120,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
Whilst appointees will have a base practice within NPC, they may be asked to work at other practices across our group.
Job Responsibilities
* Contribute to the work of the Health Centre through the provision of quality, evidence-based nursing care.
* Provide autonomous critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning when making clinical decisions.
* Undertake the management of patients over a period of time and organize appropriate services.
* Coordinate nursing staff on duty.
* Work collaboratively with other health and social care professionals across professional boundaries.
* Facilitate new developments and innovations through planning and the nurse education process.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration
* Registered Mentor.
* Achievement of, or working towards, a degree or master's level qualification.
* Teaching qualification.
* ALS/APLS/PLS.
* Minor Injury qualification.
* Management training course (desirable).
Experience and Knowledge
* Specialist knowledge and experience gained by completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Training Programme or equivalent.
* Extensive post-registration experience at senior grade.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Experience of working within a Primary Care setting.
Other Requirements
* Valid driving license and access to a car for work purposes (or willingness to use a Trust personal lease vehicle).
