Deputy Manager – Adult Residential Services
Location: Barry
Salary: £15.45 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Rotherwood Recruitment are supporting a valued client in Barry to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager to work across two adult residential and respite services supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and complex needs.
This is a hands on leadership role supporting the Service Manager to deliver high quality, person centred care and drive standards across both services.
Essential Requirements
• QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
• Willingness and ability to work towards Level 4
• Experience working within adult residential or respite services
• Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and or complex needs
• Strong leadership capability with experience supervising or mentoring staff
• Confident using electronic systems including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Ability to participate in an on call rota
The Role
• Support the Service Manager in the day to day running of two services
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Support Workers
• Promote positive wellbeing, independence and person centred support
• Maintain high standards of care, compliance and documentation
• Support with rota planning, audits and service improvement
• Work flexibly across both locations as required
• Manage challenging behaviours in a proactive and supportive manner
This is an operational leadership role requiring resilience, professionalism and a clear focus on quality and outcomes.
