Dawlish House (opening 2026) is a 3-bed children residential home Coventry South, specialising in children age 8-17 (any gender) living with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).As we prepare to embark on this new adventure, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to support the management team from the early stages of this project. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to join our childrens residential home. The successful candidate will support the Registered Manager in leading and supervising a team of Support Workers to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for children and young people in our care. You will play a key role in ensuring the home operates in line with the Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, providing a nurturing and structured environment that enables young people to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate staff on shift, providing guidance, support, and supervision. Ensure daily routines, care plans, and activities are implemented effectively. Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people. Oversee record-keeping, incident reports, and care documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support the development and implementation of individual care, behaviour, and risk management plans. Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of care delivery. Assist the management team with staff induction, training, and appraisals. A ct as the senior person in charge when required. Liaise professionally with families, social workers, schools, and external agencies. Requirements Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Experience either as a Team Leader, or covering as a Senior RSW within a childrens residential setting Experience supervising or mentoring other staff members. Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour management. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Full UK driving licence desirable.
