Package Description :: Job Role: Senior Support Worker Location: Merthyr Tydfil, CF47 Salary: £14.40 - £15.00* per hour Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week About The Jays Full UK Driving license is essential. The Jays is a Brand-new service, which will be opening in 2025. At The Jays we provide accommodation and support for up to 7 adults with Autism, Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injuries. We then work closely with them, their family, circle of support and other professionals to define goals and how we can work together to achieve them. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to adults in supported living environments. Promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with a variety of care needs. Support individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, household duties, budgeting, and accessing community activities. Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans. Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure individuals receive the best possible care. Take part in team meetings, supervision sessions, and provide coaching and mentoring to Support Workers. Key Requirements Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Support Worker in an adult care setting. A Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel between locations is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable adults.
