Now Hiring: Production Manager – Live Events
Are you an experienced Production Manager with a passion for delivering outstanding live events? We're working on behalf of a prestigious venue-based client to find an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This is a full-time, permanent role based at a leading conference and exhibition centre in East London, working within a well-established venue partnership team.
The Role
As Production Manager, you’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of events, ensuring the delivery of exceptional technical production services from concept through to execution. Your focus will be on building strong client relationships, managing pre-production and onsite delivery, and maintaining commercial and creative excellence.
This role requires flexibility – standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, but evening and weekend work may be required based on event schedules.
️ Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong, proactive relationships with clients
* Discuss and scope event requirements directly with stakeholders
* Develop accurate quotations and proposal documents
* Oversee pre-production planning: technical drawings, designs, scenic specs
* Liaise with internal technical teams to align on client expectations
* Manage onsite delivery and live event execution
* Maintain budgetary control across all assigned projects
* Produce relevant H&S documentation, floorplans, and administrative materials
* Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, accounts, and technical teams
* Support the growth of business through client retention and new opportunities
What We're Looking For
* 5+ years’ experience in live events production management
* Proven technical knowledge across Audio, Video, Lighting, LED
* Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
* Confident decision-maker with problem-solving agility
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
* Familiarity with rental management systems
* Vectorworks / CAD experience (basic level required)
* Understanding of technical schematics, scenic workflows, and staging
* Budget control and commercial awareness
* Experienced in on-site crew leadership
* Health & safety conscious with a proactive approach
