Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility in Warrington, Cheshire. We provide residential, nursing, and dementia care, ensuring safety, comfort, and wellbeing for our residents. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, paying staff at or above the national minimum wage.
We are seeking a kind, motivated, and organized Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home. We offer a 30-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.21. Shift times are 0800-1600, with alternate weekends required.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules, signing necessary paperwork.
2. Follow guidance from the Head Housekeeper.
3. Contribute to maintaining the home’s housekeeping standards.
4. Undertake general cleaning tasks and any other delegated duties.
5. Carry out laundry duties when required.
6. Ensure the environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults the post holder interacts with.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Previous non-domestic cleaning experience and experience working in a care setting are beneficial.
* Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and provide basic comments.
* Effective communication with team members.
* Reliability and trustworthiness.
