<div><h3>Attendance Officer</h3><p>Location: Grays, Essex</p><p>Salary: Up to £26,365 (Actual Salary)</p><p>Contract: Permanent</p><p>Hours: 37 Hours Per Week</p><p>Working Pattern: Term Time Only</p><p>Start Date: September 2026</p><p>Local Education are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in Grays seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Attendance Officer, Family Liaison Officer, Pastoral Officer, or School Administrator with experience in attendance to join a supportive school community.</p><p>The successful candidate will play a key role in improving student attendance and punctuality by working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Monitoring and tracking attendance data</li><li>Managing attendance procedures and interventions</li><li>Liaising with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns</li><li>Producing attendance reports for senior leaders</li><li>Supporting strategies to improve attendance across the school</li><li>Working with external agencies where appropriate</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Previous attendance experience within a school setting</li><li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills</li><li>Excellent organisational skills</li><li>Confidence using school MIS systems</li><li>Ability to work effectively with students, families and staff</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Permanent position</li><li>Term-time only working pattern</li><li>Up to £26,365 actual salary</li><li>Supportive leadership team
