Overview
We\'re looking for an Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect responsible for designing and overseeing the technical implementation of Oracle\'s Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solutions for UK public sector clients. This role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technical architecture, guiding projects through the SDLC and translating complex solutions for diverse audiences to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects. You\'ll focus on the technical aspects of the implementation of Oracle Fusion HCM modules including reports, integrations and data migration, with deep knowledge across Core HR, recruitment, Learning, Talent Management, UK Payroll, Pension, OTL and Absence, backed by practical experience in the UK public sector. You\'ll lead client engagements, discuss integrations, data migrations, and reporting across relevant modules, and translate functional and technical concepts into clear insights for technical teams and senior management. You\'ll guide projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure smooth delivery and high system performance.
Responsibilities
* Lead and execute the implementation of Oracle Fusion HCM for UK clients.
* Utilize extensive knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Batch Loader.
* Discuss complex functional and technical solutions with diverse audiences, including technical, business, and management teams; walkthrough data mapping documents, environment planning, testing, and change requests.
* Lead customer discussions pertaining to integrations, data migrations, and reports related to Payroll, OTL, Absence, and other relevant modules.
* Apply knowledge across the full SDLC, including Conference Room pilots (CRPs)/Playback sessions, training content preparation, and providing training for technical components; translate functional requirements into technical solutions; create and maintain Fast Formulas for payroll, absence, and benefits; develop complex BI Publisher reports.
* Design, build, and test integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and other systems, using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), HCM Extracts, and HDL.
* Lead the technical aspects of data migration, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading using HDL; ensure data integrity during migration.
* Translate the security model into tangible configurations; build and assign custom roles and security profiles to enforce access controls per requirements.
* Utilize Redwood enablement tools to customize the user interface and enhance user experience.
* Serve as the go-to person for technical questions; mentor junior developers and provide oversight to ensure quality.
* Review technical design documents and code to ensure scalability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues; troubleshoot problems and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
* Manage Oracle HCM Cloud environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod) and handle migration of configurations and code between environments.
* Play a key role throughout the SDLC, including technical design, build, testing, and post-go-live support; manage technical aspects of updates and patches.
Qualifications
* 12+ years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 8 years as an Oracle Fusion HCM Technical Architect with Oracle HCM Cloud.
* Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered; hands-on experience with UK Public Sector clients is a key requirement.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively identify and mitigate technical, functional, and security risks.
* Expertise in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies.
* Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
* Preparation of status reports with RAG, highlighting risks and mitigations and maintaining RAID logs.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms for C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders, and provide detailed technical guidance to implementation teams.
* Work closely with the change management team to ensure adoption by end-users.
* Experience managing teams of 10+ would be a plus.
