Theatre Practitioner | Anaesthetics & Recovery | Part Time | Permanent | Methley – LS26
Spire Methley Park has and exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Practitioner to join the Operating Department on a part time, permanent basis.
1. Anaesthetics and Recovery Practitioner
2. Part time – 30hrs per week
3. Shift patterns are – 7am-1pm, 1pm-8pm or 7pm-8am
4. 1 in 4 Saturdays are required on rotary basis
5. On call required on a rotary basis
Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. Duties and responsibilities
6. The successful Practitioner or Nurse will prepare the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific operative procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum. You will run a theatre list without supervision and supervise / mentor junior staff (subject to experience) and perform anaesthetic duties. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills as the unit performs various surgical procedures.
Who we're looking for
7. Qualified ODP/Nurse with an Anaesthetic Module
8. NMC or HCPC registered with no restrictions on your pin.
9. At least 1 year Anaesthetics experience
10. Recovery experience required
11. Have been employed in a surgical/Theatre setting.
12. You will be highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environment.
