About the Role
Join our team as a Young Persons Worker in Stoke-on-Trent.

Our Young Persons Worker teams offer vital support, training, and education to young people in their locality. They work with other agencies and professionals to safeguard their young clients, working with their families too where appropriate. As a Young Persons Worker, you'll be supporting a caseload of young people who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse. You'll work with them to access their needs, develop care plans, deliver a variety of treatments and/or refer them to other specialist support when needed.
You'll also be proactively engaging with young people to provide them with the support, training, education, and guidance they need to better understand the implications of the situations they may face and the decisions they may make.
This is a part-time, permanent position working 22.5 hours per week. The salary is £23,850 - £25,000 per annum pro rata.
To be able to do this job successfully, you will have:
* OCN/NVQ level 3 or equivalent or willingness to achieve this within 12 months
* Experience of managing a caseload of young people with complex needs
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to put safeguarding processes into practice
* Evidence of multi-agency working
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Excellent relationship-building skills with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
* The ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team, sharing skills, knowledge, and experience
* Good organisational skills to manage time effectively, prioritise work, and cope with competing demands
* The ability to record and maintain accurate case details in a timely manner
* Effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media
* Access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence
