Housing Project Officer

3-6 month contract
Harvey Nash's public sector client is looking for a Housing / Project Officer to support the delivery of a new-build affordable housing programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development and delivery of new-build housing projects from inception to completion
* Liaise with statutory bodies, developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders
* Assist with procurement, budgeting, and financial monitoring
* Ensure compliance with design standards, building regulations, and grant requirements
* Support grant funding applications and claims
* Attend design team and site meetings and assist in managing consultants and contractors
* Support handover, defects management, and post-completion reviews
Essential Requirements:
* Degree level qualification or equivalent
* Experience delivering new build housing projects
* Experience working within a social housing environment
* Knowledge of construction legislation and housing grant funding
* Strong communication, organisational, and report writing skills
Desirable:
* Construction-related xxuwjjq qualification (e.g. Project Management, QS, Architecture, Planning)
* Membership of a relevant professional body
* Experience of procurement and development viability assessment
