Surya Hotels are recruiting for a General Manager to lead site operations at our Kingscliff hotel, right on the sea front-, lead and mentor team, delight guests and be the stable conduit with Hotels' Support Office too. This may be your first General Manager appointment, but won't be your first hospitality management role- you should have solid experience managing F&B to lead this heavily food focussed site. To be successful as our Hotel General Manager you need: Management Experience in a 3/4 * 30 bedroom hotel OR Phenomenal experience leading Hospitality teams- including both front and back of house- delighting and enhancing guest experience A thirst to drive and improve standards across the Hotel Great attention to detail- delivering fantastic food and service to guests Insight in to local market, specifically aware of opportunities and ways to increase dwell time and overall revenues Ability to lead and inspire a team, across a number of divisions, e.g. Restaurant, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Reception Numerical dexterity to crunch the numbers, drive occupancy, ARR and achieve best stock control and ROI Compassion to lead, motivate, inspire and develop your team- from your housekeeping stars to your back office team, your kitchen wizards and FOH wonders Proven experience ability to balance being hands on whilst seeing the bigger picture to increase your business Managers are managed against the Hotel P&L, guest feedback, ARR, Occupancy levels, Audits and Team stability The ideal Hotel General Manager: · Must have experience within a similar role with site and P&L responsibility · Strong Hospitality Background, preferably F&B driven experience gained in hotels or high volume restaurants with personality, with proven levels of success · Excellent management skills, including recruiting, performance managing and leading a team and an exceptional manager · Commercially astute to monitor and analyse trends and identify opportunities · Flexible in approach and a ‘Can do, will achieve’ attitude In return for your skills and passion we offer: · A highly competitive salary, with Tips on top too.
