We are currently seeking a reliable, detail‑focused and proactive individual to join our team as a Cleaner for Ivy Cottage. This is an exciting new opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating beautiful spaces and wants to play a key part in enhancing our wedding experience here at The Orangery.
Ivy Cottage is one of the most charming and intimate areas of Margam Country Park, recently developed to elevate the journey our couples and their guests enjoy on their special day. Our team is dedicated, friendly and passionate about creating unforgettable moments, and we’re proud of the high standards we set for both our environment and our service.
As a Cleaner for Ivy Cottage, you will help ensure the space always looks immaculate, welcoming and beautifully prepared for weddings and events. Your attention to detail will help maintain the high standards our guests expect and love.
Your Daily Routine Will Include:
1. Ensuring Ivy Cottage is cleaned, refreshed and presented to a high standard
2. Maintaining cleanliness of key areas including bedrooms, bathrooms and preparation spaces
3. Restocking essential items and preparing the cottage for couples to use
4. Managing laundry such as towels, linens and soft furnishings
5. Reporting maintenance needs or issues promptly to the management team
6. Supporting the wider Orangery team where needed to help deliver exceptional guest experiences
Do you have:
7. Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a similar setting
8. Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
9. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
10. Reliability, good punctuality, and a positive work ethic
11. Confidence in following cleaning procedures and using cleaning products safely
12. Friendly, professional manner when working around wedding parties and guests
There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided
We would welcome those with experience in the following roles:
13. Housekeeper (hotel, B&B, or holiday cottage)
14. Cleaner or Domestic Assistant
15. Venue or Event Housekeeping Staff
16. Holiday Park or Hospitality Cleaner
17. Room Attendant
18. Care Home Cleaning or Housekeeping roles
