Pensions Technical Analyst Intro An exciting opportunity to join Railpen’s Member Services team as a Pensions Technical Analyst (known internally as Technical Services Support), focusing on delivering accurate and timely pension benefit calculations, data, and reports to support our members’ needs. This permanent role is based in our Darlington office, with hybrid working available. They’re what we stand for. The role As a Pensions Technical Analyst, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring our members receive accurate, timely, and high-quality benefit calculations and data. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Member Services team, supporting both day-to-day operations and wider initiatives that improve the member experience. The person This is a pensions-focused role, not an IT or technical support position. We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of defined benefit pensions and experience in member benefit calculations. A background in the pensions industry is essential, with a technical mindset and a willingness to stay updated on industry developments. Experience with buy-in and buy-out transactions is desirable but not required, as training will be provided. Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and clear communication are key. You’ll be customer-focused, able to manage priorities, and committed to maintaining high standards of service and compliance, while contributing positively to our collaborative and continuously improving team culture.
