Principal Civil Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 + package (Fully remote available)
Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary design consultancy seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in Oxfordshire. We are dedicated to delivering sustainable developments throughout the UK.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a talent for thinking outside the box, who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions for the technical and environmental challenges of land development.
Ideally, you will have 3-5 years of proven experience in land development, good 2D CAD skills, and experience in preparing General Arrangement plans and construction details. Familiarity with developing 3D skills and the following software is preferred:
* Autodesk CAD – Essential
* Civils 3D design – Preferable
* Site 3D – Preferable
* Infodrainage / Microdrainage - Essential
You should have a proven track record of preparing technical submission drawings for S38/S278 and S104 submissions.
Your key areas of knowledge and expertise:
* BEng Civil Engineering degree
* Experience in consultancy/private sector development, particularly in residential projects
* Experience in highway and drainage design for private and adoptable works
* Proficiency in producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes
* Numerate with knowledge of 3D modelling software, Microdrainage, and AutoCAD
Ideally, you will have experience with legal, planning, and technical procedures for highway and drainage design, including Section 38/278 and Section 104 agreements, and familiarity with design standards such as Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design guides, the SuDS Manual, and DCG.
