Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Field Service Technician role
Reporting to the Field Service Manager / Group Leader Field Service, you will:
Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems in industrial environments
Carry out electrical testing, inspections, and fault diagnosis on power distribution, control circuits, and automation systems
Support modifications, retrofitting, and panel/control cabinet work including parameterisation and programming
Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, ATEX, and internal QHSE standards across all site activities
Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, test reports, and service records
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Vocational diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and field service
Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and control systems
Strong knowledge of electrical testing tools and equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, etc.)
Understanding of switchgear, control systems, and industrial automation
Personal skills
