Job Description:
Tony Gee is currently recruiting for a Project Planner (Programmer) in their Highways department based in the Esher office.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects across the Highways, Rail, and Energy sectors, including major projects for National Highways, High Speed 2, and Network Rail.
We seek a candidate comfortable working within a project management team and capable of working independently to overcome challenges.
The ideal candidate should be skilled in constructing and managing NEC3 and NEC4 compliant programmes and should have a passion for knowledge sharing and team development.
The preferred location is Esher, Surrey, but we are open to candidates near other UK offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage integrated project programmes and meet reporting deadlines
* Correlate schedule, cost, and risk assessments to influence critical path analysis
* Lead scenario planning to resolve project conflicts and recoveries
* Integrate scheduling across multiple projects within the area of work
* Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain and interface project schedules
* Support contractor requirements alongside the Planning or Project Controls Managers
* Work with delivery teams and stakeholders to monitor project performance
* Promote best practices in project planning and provide advice and training
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
* (Desirable) Project or programme management qualification with experience in large infrastructure projects
* Training and competence in Primavera P6 and NEC contracts
* Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer literacy
* Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Asta PowerProject
* Knowledge of National Highways standards and procedures
* Experience in infrastructure planning and programming
* Understanding of NEC contracts and commercial aspects
* Experience in complex project scheduling and commercial elements
* Network Rail Suite Contract awareness (Desirable)
* Relevant project planning certifications such as APMG or PRINCE
