We are seeking a skilled Precision Tool Fitter to join our growing team in a hands-on mechanical role with a strong focus on quality and precision. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in press tooling or precision engineering to contribute to the production and refurbishment of high-speed tooling systems used in advanced manufacturing environments.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the complete mechanical assembly, testing, and final acceptance of precision tool units capable of operating at speeds of up to 750 cycles per minute. Tool builds typically span one week from start to finish and involve assembling and testing entire units independently. Units are expected to achieve high performance and long service life before requiring reconditioning.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative and experienced mechanical assembly team, using a combination of hand fitting, precision machining, and testing techniques to ensure exceptional build quality.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble, fit, and test new precision tool units and associated mechanical systems.

Repair and refurbish existing tooling to original specifications.

Ensure all components are assembled to exacting tolerances and functional requirements.

Conduct full system testing, including performance validation at operational speeds.

Participate in the build or overhaul of larger mechanical assemblies when required.

Accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications, and build procedures.
*
Maintain quality standards and follow company processes and safety protocols.
