Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and seating areas. Maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies. Preparing and serving food items like pastries, sandwiches, or snacks, depending on the establishment. Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient operations. Maintaining high standards of beverage quality and presentation. Possessing a good understanding of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and latte art. Experience. Some previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred Confidence using basic IT systems and software (including Microsoft Office) Formal barista training course will be provided. Natural influencing skills with a knack for managing expectations Communication: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Food and Beverages: Familiarity with menu items, drink options, and potential allergies or dietary restrictions. Baristas need to be proficient in various coffee brewing methods, including pulling espresso, steaming milk, and creating latte art. Understanding how to dial in espresso, adjust grind settings, and maintain consistent extraction is helpful.
