2. Provide the production control and short‑term planning interface between operational, design and planning teams, including preparing programme submission documents and internal reporting.
3. Monitor progress, record as‑built data and ensure timely progress information is provided to populate the contract programme for scheduled updates.
4. Produce, challenge and maintain collaborative short‑term/lookahead programmes with designers, suppliers and on‑site trade contractors, and lead short‑term planning sessions.
5. Work with suppliers to align their programmes to Skanska planning standards, agree constraints and calendars, and monitor supplier KPIs.
6. Support the Senior Planner and project team to implement Production Control as a core project process and contribute benchmark data for future tenders.
What you'll bring to the role:
7. Proven track record of construction experience with a good technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices.
8. Experience on commercial office design & build projects circa £150m+ and proficiency in planning software such as Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6.
9. Experience developing short‑term programmes, production control, use of BIM, and ideally using data (e.g. telematics) to inform production control.
10. Understanding of contract requirements (JCT and/or NEC) and possession of a relevant CSCS card; degree/HND/HNC in Construction/Engineering is preferable.
