Overview
Experienced Social Worker required for work within the Children Looked After (CLA) Team in Swindon. Competitive rates of pay £42ph, minimum 3 month contracts, 37 hours per week. Good transport links to the M4. Strong supportive manager and team. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
Travel & Accommodation
£100 weekly travel and accommodation expenses will remain in place for all new and existing agency placements within Children's Social Care until 31 August 2026. Workers must reside more than 50 miles from Swindon.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
* Visiting children in care and care leavers.
* Supporting young people.
* Developing pathway plans.
* Handling extremely complex cases with the assistance of the management team.
* Maintaining close positive links with outside agencies and service providers within the community.
Qualifications
* Experience as a social worker within a busy Looked After Children's Team.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children & families, with good knowledge & experience of CLA processes.
* Ideally court experience.
* Multi-tasking, able to record accurate information on systems & reports.
* Strong communication and report writing skills.
* Social Work England registered, and ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
