Job Description
As a Senior Service Engineer, you will have a hands-on approach in operationally supporting Business as Usual (BAU) IT to all users across the ofer group. This role is vital in supporting our service delivery and as a proactive employee you can support us in anticipating and mitigating the issues users are facing which may impact service availability and communicating these so we may find a solution that works best for everyone.
This role would suit someone who is comfortable working autonomously.
Accountability
* Troubleshooting application, desktop, and network problems, diagnosing and solving
* hardware or software faults and replace parts
* Infrastructure managing and monitoring, directly or via third parties
* Enforcement and adherence of IT cyber security policies
* Working with project teams to implement and accept into service new digital transformation
* technologies
* Experience resolving security and desktop incidents; building a knowledge-base and problem solving effectively
* Work with service providers eg. Vodafone, Softcat
* Order processing with third parties
* Onboarding and offboarding
* Training eg. Sharepoint / Teams
* Office 365, tenant management, reviewing alerts
* Senior member team needs to support and be point of escalation
* 4 days a week in office
* Rota basis to cover out of hours

Essential
* Microsoft 365 (SharePoint/Teams/MS Office/Office 365/Enterprise Security)
* Cloud platforms i.e. Azure, AWS
* Windows 10 / Windows 2016 / AD / Azure AD / Virtualisation (VMware) / Mac
* Network equipment switches, access points, routers and firewalls
Desirable
* Mimecast
* Veeam
* Power Shell
* Linux
* Telephony (PBX / Mobile / VOIP / MDM), A/V systems (audio-visual)
Qualifications
* Equivalent or BSc in Information Technology would be an advantage
* Minimum 5+ years' experience
* ITIL - Foundation qualification
* MCSE, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+
