The Role:
Due to the growth of the Future You Tutoring Service, you'll join our Secure and Specialist Service as a Learning and Skills Tutor, shaping education around the individual needs of learners who have often experienced significant disruption to their education.
In this highly rewarding role, you'll work with individuals and small groups of children and young people, both in person and online, responding flexibly to their needs to help them re:engage with learning, build confidence and access their future pathways successfully.
You will be a creative, dedicated, and engaging teacher, with strong experience supporting vulnerable learners, including those with additional needs, and ideally offer an English and/or Maths specialism.
What you'll do:
:Plan and deliver high:quality, engaging educational sessions tailored to individual and cohort needs, inspiring learners to attend, engage, make progress and achieve positive outcomes.
:Support learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) by ensuring provision is relevant, responsive and effective.
:Embed literacy and numeracy skills across learning activities.
:Develop and review personalised session plans, learner profiles and resources, including digital materials.
:Monitor progress, identify gaps in learning and adapt provision accordingly.
:Create safe, inclusive and positive learning environments.
:Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner services to ensure consistency and quality.
What we're looking for:
:Qualified teacher : Level 5+ Teaching and Learning qualification, and the ability to provide English and/or Maths as a specialism.
:Experience delivering high:quality education to pre/post 16 learners, including those with SEND or disrupted education.
:Resilience, with the ability and willingness to think creatively, adapt approaches and persist in problem solving to meet learners' needs.
:Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills and confident using digital tools and learning technologies.
:Strong knowledge of education policy, regulation and inspection, including Ofsted.
:Ability to work collaboratively across teams and agencies.
